What Is Wingfoil?

Wingfoil combines elements of windsurfing, kitesurfing, and hydrofoil surfing. A hand-held inflatable wing captures the wind, while a hydrofoil lifts the rider out of the water at speed. You need a minimum of around 10–12 knots of wind — exactly what Lake Garda delivers reliably for seven months of the year.

Why Lake Garda Is Perfect for Wing Foiling

Consistent thermal winds: The Pelèr (morning) and Ora (afternoon) provide reliable wind windows every day throughout the season.

Flat, calm water in sheltered zones. Freshwater — no salt corrosion. No tides — predictable and accessible launches.
