Reaching Campione del Garda
Campione del Garda is located on the western shore of Lake Garda, in the province of Brescia, Lombardy. The village sits in a unique position, nestled between the mountains and the lake, accessible via the famous Strada Gardesana Occidentale (SS45bis).

By Car
From the North (Trento/Brenner)
- 1.A22 Brenner motorway, Rovereto Sud/Lago di Garda Nord exit
- 2.Follow the signs for Riva del Garda
- 3.From Riva, continue on the SS45bis Gardesana Occidentale heading south
- 4.After Limone sul Garda, continue for about 10 km
- 5.The entrance to Campione is signposted; access is through a tunnel
From the South (Milan/Brescia/Verona)
- 1.A4 Milano-Venezia motorway, Brescia Est exit
- 2.Follow the signs for Lago di Garda/Salò
- 3.Continue on the SS45bis Gardesana Occidentale heading north
- 4.Pass Salò, Gardone Riviera, Toscolano Maderno, Gargnano
- 5.Campione is located about 15 km after Gargnano
The Gardesana Road
The Strada Gardesana Occidentale (SS45bis) is one of the most scenic roads in Italy. Built in the 1930s, it winds along the western shore of the lake through tunnels carved into the rock, offering breathtaking views.
Entrance to Campione: Access to the village is through a tunnel. Pay attention to the signs: the exit for Campione is on the right when coming from the south, on the left when coming from the north.
Warning: The road can be narrow in some places. On summer weekends and public holidays traffic can be heavy. It is advisable to travel during less busy hours.

The nearest railway stations are:
Rovereto (Brenner line): 35 km from Campione. From the station, buses to Riva del Garda and then to Campione.
Desenzano del Garda-Sirmione (Milano-Venezia line): 55 km. Connected by bus to Salò and then to the Gardesana.
Brescia (railway junction): 65 km. Direct buses to Lake Garda.
It is advisable to rent a car to move around the area comfortably.
Parking
In Campione del Garda paid parking is available during the summer season. The main car park is located at the entrance to the village, near the area of the former cotton mill.
Tip: On windy days (ideal for water sports), the car parks fill up quickly. It is advisable to arrive early, especially on weekends.
