What Is the Anello di Campione?

The Anello di Campione is a circular route from the village square: 7–8 km, 400–500 metres elevation gain, 3–4 hours. Medium difficulty. No shuttle needed — the loop returns you to the same harbour where you started. CAI-waymarked throughout.

The Route — What You Will See

Start at Campione del Garda's harbour (65 m). Climb through olive groves and Mediterranean scrub. Enter the shade of mixed deciduous forest — chestnut, oak, hornbeam. Pass close to the Cascata di Campione waterfall (audible before visible). Higher up, the tree cover breaks: the kitesurf beach appears far below, filled with kites on any afternoon with wind. The lake panorama stretches to Riva del Garda in the north. Descend back through the stone lanes of Campione village.
